Back from my trip to the USA. I can hardly wait to show you the wedding of Carly & Andy that I photographed in Chicago.
This was a very special wedding to me this season since I’m addicted to travelling, foreign languages, and cultures.
Photography & travels – a perfect combination for me.
There was quite some disappointment before “my” Chicago wedding when the couple who booked me canceled their wedding 8 weeks before the big day. I was sorry not only for my photography, but also for the couple. How lucky I was to get to know Erika, from Mayden Photography, a wonderful American collegue, who spontaneousely invited me to photography “her” wedding. Erika´s warm-heartedness and the warm-heartedness of Americans in general simply fascinated me.
The wedding, in the heart of Chicago, held in the Osteria Via Stato, couldn´t have been any more beautiful. There was a great atmosphere: singing bridesmaids, jovial groomsman, a fun trolley ride, a very touching speech by he bride’s father, every single guest dancing (yes, even grandma rocked the dance floor 🙂 ), delicious food, and a sweet wedding couple – the wedding.
I´m very thankful that my first destination wedding was so great. I felt perfectly comfortable and I hope Carly & Andy love their wedding story in pictures as much as I do.
Hopefully many weddings abroad will follow my first step into destination wedding photography – I´m looking forward to it.
Since I want to show you so many pictures I make 2 blogposts – tomorrow you´ll see part 2 STAY TUNED
